  • WG4 - Mechanobiological principles of rare and common diseases

Research Interests

I specialise in work on Drosophila model organism. In previous project I investigatad model of rare neural and muscle deseases caused by point mutations in small heat shock proteins. currently I'm working in project focused on involvement of lamins and topoisomerase in transcription shutdown in stress conditions. variety of techniques will be used to establish dynamics of interactions of lamins and top2 eg.  microscopic visualisation in both cell cultures and organisms, quantitive evaluation of shifts in transcription levels compered with protein levels, and revealing of changes in protein-protein interactions.
